I have over 25 years’ experience in Information Security and Risk Management, in the UK and New Zealand.  I have helped organisations navigate the complexities of security and risk issues, effectively managed resources, and delivered on outcomes that have aligned with the business strategies, whilst maximizing the return from their security investments.

My background in FSI, Public Sector and Retail businesses operating in large scale environments, has provided the experiences and depth of capability required to provide leadership in the security and risk disciplines, including Head of Information Security for the Ministry of Justice.

Most recently I have been engaged by the Department of Internal Affairs as Security Lead for both the Technology Baseline, and Core Technology Uplift program’s and also Security Certification & Accreditation activity for various DIA systems.

Hi I am an Information Security Consultant with 30+ yrs experience, CISSP qualified in Information Security – Risk Management, and a member of Mensa.

Specialties: Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, Certification & Accreditation, Governance, PSR – NZISM, ISO27k and Operational Security Management.

​Most recently I have been working for the Inland Revenue Department designing and implementing the Security Certification & Accreditation processes for their ICT Systems, and also the Ministry of Education with their Security and Risk program.

​Most recently I have been working for the NZ Police, and also the Ministry of Education with their Security and Risk program.

My other work covers a variety of information security, Certification & Accreditation, Identity & Access on mainly Windows based systems.

​Most recently I have been working for the Datacom leading Windows and Application security engagements, and am currently the lead security testing consultant for a large transformation project.
